That JR would have shocked the hell out of me...LOL Best thing Ive caught in a net was a pair of red legged partridge. I left the long net up whilst trying to retrieve a collar that had come off under a massive beech tree. After about an hour, nearly giving up, I got it back and went to put the net away, and there they were - stuck fast.. 2 Quote Link to post

The one 8,535
Weasels and stoats bolt often but just go threw the net and away , at one place we bolted some rats but the dog had them sure made you careful about putting your hand down a hole the rest of the day , Had a couple of hedge hogs but had to dig them out as the ferrets wouldn't leave them and seen to foam at the mouth as they where striking at them , bolted a few foxes but there usually out and away with the net same with cats , strangest thing i ever bolted was a black cockerel in the middle of nowhere Quote Link to post
Country Joe 1,411
A Whippet X Bedlington. First and last time I took a dog night longnetting, was bantering the field, when she took off, found her bundled up in the net, was no way distressed, got the feeling she was just waiting patiently to be rescued.
