Freezing them won't kill the bugs. All it does is slow down the process of replication so food lasts longer. That's why freezers have star ratings and why the max length food can be kept is 12 months. Most bacteria and viruses can survive low temperatures.

 

Cooking the birds should kill most bugs but personally I wouldn't risk eating feral birds. If you don't get the temperature right or if there's something that's temperature resistant, then you could be facing some dire illness. Also cooking only kills bugs, it can't destroy toxins and there's no guessing what may be accumulated in the bird as it could have eaten anything.

 

Best thing to do with ferals is burn them. 2nd best is bury them.

 

Above all shoot them! The less ferals there are, the more food there is for the Woody's and the less diseased birds in the country.

yes haggis first 2 on the magnet then the 1s we shoot make a patten with the dead 1s put there heads up barbique sticks they will soon start dropping in fast bud we are talking ferals here

ps if there is a fence nere u are shooting get a y shape stick wedge it behind the top strand of wire put the pigeon on the post head on the y bingo see it from a longway hope it help you bud

i used to get 10p each bird for ferals off the asians lol but in them days i got 25/27 p for each woody ,i think the game dealers are shafting you now at the prices they pay for them ,ive heard as little as 10 per woody ? have you seen the price of them in the shops !
