Does anybody else blame linekar for making g kids fat, seeing as he made walkers ads? Lol

I am sure it was, the vast majority of games are and if you get a good ref then it makes the game.

All that said, I would still say that the standard of refereeing at lower levels has its part to play in why we may not be producing from grass roots level

The refs simply watch too much telly as do the younger players, see a petulent Renaldo or Roony, they see refs and staff fussing round them like old women and that think that is what true competitive sport is all about when in fact it's the complete opposite side of the galaxy!

Don't wanna upset anybody either bit I don't think cling your kid lazy is bad, I think watching your child be lazy when you know they are capable of much more is bad. Granted I wouldn't scream and shout at my kids, but I wouldn't watch them putting on half efforts and say nowt, if they don't wanna be there then fair play, just don't go and do things half heartedly, if we as parents can't say it to them, what chance have they got as adults?

It's more about when and how you say it. Angrily calling your kid a lazy cow, and shouting other disparaging remarks, in front of her entire team and the opposing team is out of order. My daughter plays U9's, and if she goes out there and has one of those half asleep days where she can't be arsed, I speak to her about it. Privately, after the match. I let the coach do his job first, then I do mine after.

I wish my parents had been alot more pushy & got me doing more in & out of school, they were great, but I needed a kick up the arse to be honest, my dad was just satisfied I was into hunting like him lol

I've only just had my first son, but I'll be dong as much as can to help him reach his potential.

I think one of the biggest problem with the English game is the kids just see all the riches they can have first, it's the trappings more than the glory perhaps, all ways makes me laugh when people harp on about what a great role model beckam is to kids....what? Greed & Vanity with his c***t wife driving for more & more, that's all kids see as they stare blankly into their iPads.......

Kids arent allowed to enjoy sport anymore, my grandad was a scout for a few football clubs and wouldnt sign any kid that didnt look like he was enjoying being on the pitch, When i was growing up every street had kids playing football or cricket you just dont see that anymore

Removing the three foreigners rule, and dumping shipping containers full of money to the FA, ruined English football.

Again, if there isn't a giant f***ing cheque, involved, no one cares.

The promise of a giant payday is part of the ultra competitiveness.

to be fair hes spot on see it every week, you have the manager and coach telling the kids what to do and how to do it then the parents coaching from the side line who havent got a clue screaming at there kids who they gonna listern to, most of the time the parents want the win more than the kids , seen parents crusifie kids for making mistakes and costing them the game,
