Ferreting Book

Recommended Posts

The Simon Whitehead is pretty good, and is up to date, so if you want to use the Mark3 finder its discussed in his book,

Some of the other ferret books are okay, but regarding equipment, can be a bit out of date.

If your new to the game, I would recomend S. Whiteheads.

If you type his name in Youtube a few things should come up.

As above mate Simon Whitehead, good read and plenty of information re nets/locators/husbandry  etc Fred Taylors(RIP) books are superb but a bit outdated, one I have here he mentions applying to the Home Office for a license to use a Ferret Finder  cracking read though, and considering the age of the books he was a forward thinking man....in terms of handling /diet he was ahead of the game...much as he was in the Angling world :cray: ...

Forget books and get reading ferreting section on here, anything you can't find, then ask. And get out and try it, quickest way to learn, read some books in summer if you want, this time of year you want to be out ferreting, not reading a book about it..

Cheers guys thats great. Really appreciate the quick replies. Think i'll get the Simon Whitehead one, i know i could just go out and get stuck in i just like something physical as a point of reference. I still go back and look at my phillip glazier book on falconry every now and then.
