Brummy 9
But none of it is untrue that's the fact of the matter ! Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
As Brummy says they can't be/aren't tested, give yourselves a chance and get something from tested parents. Trouble is there must be lots of people still buying them or he wouldn't be in business. Only been to his kennels once, about 1991, they weren't that bad but how can you sell working dogs from parents that spend their time in kennels? Quote Link to post

Only been to his kennels once, about 1991, they weren't that bad but how can you sell working dogs from parents that spend their time in kennels? What about a bull first cross ? most greyhounds are not tested on fur in lurcher breeding and well bull terriers are not well known for their working prowess in the field but most seem pleased with their bullies just as most are pleased with their hancocks.....i know i was,i think if their were more geniune collie crosses bred by genuine dog men hancock wouldnt have done aswell with his pups but there seems to steady a market for these types and he gives people what they want all year round, also as said before im thinking its the so called dog men who get shot of the dogs that land in the rescue centres that are the tossers Quote Link to post

millreef 0
f*****g hell, dont you lot get bored of slagging this man off if you dont like them dont bye one simple as that or get a dartboard with a picture of him and throw dart's at it and get rid of your frustration that way, grow up kiddie's well said sniffer!f..k me why does this same old crap keep popping up? ive got 6mth o;d hancock bitch i bought it my choice if it not turn out it me too blame not mr hancocks,i think there bit green eyed monster here we all people who slag him off! i bet more than % of greyhounds used for breeding lurchers on here are cast offs from track because didnt chase does this make em ideal breeding material i think not,but yea probably does cos when they got em home theyve chased next doors cat does it make it worker i think not!what constitutes a working bull terrier for crossing to a greyhound? i wouldnt know cause had nowt to we we bull terriers or bull xs,surely one day all this slagging off of david hancock will stop. colliejohn 840
i personally wouldn,t purchase a pup off the guy as he doesn,t breed off workers, but if we are honest how many off here can genuinely say that they have bought a pup off genuine working stock, you only have to look in the cmw each week and see the endless adverts off bitsa lurchers being bred, or the bull crosses they can,t all be off genuine long recorded working lines, perhaps we should strive to improve our own breeding practices instead of just knocking hancock. regards collie john. Guest SHOT
we shouldnt talk about hancock like that..just like chapman, nuttall hes not here to defend himself Quote Link to post
Sorley x 32
There are a sh1t load of lurchers abandoned each year. Just because tattooing dogs means that it is likely any tattooed dog will be traced back to him. Enough has been said about the man and what he breeds from. I my personal opinion we are MISSING the root cause. ...... .... THERE IS NOTHING TO STOP IDIOTS BUYING DOGS. It is almost never the dogs fault. People just get a dog on a whim and are FECKING clueless about looking after it. WORSE, they go buy a merle lucher cause they is stunning or any lucher for that matter and then when it hits it teens and is a high eneregy bundle of button pushing trouble, can't handle it. If you want to reduce number of rescue dogs then stop idiots buying dogs. Less will get bred if they can't get sold. PROBLEM is that it just about impossible to stop iddiots buying dogs. Crow 1
Take a look in the classifeds section of this and the 'other site' and you'll see many pups for sale. And what about the large number of older dogs currently being offered up? Maybe we should be looking in our own back yard before we start having a go about Hancocks The number of dogs in rescue homes is not down to breeders, it's down to irresponsible owners who are quick to ditch a dog too! Breeders breed because they can sell - stop buying and they stop breeding Edited to add; maybe it's time for a return to dog licensing? Edited September 10, 2007 by Crow Quote Link to post
