barrywhite 282
If you get a good quality rifle and you dont like shooting for some STRANGE reason you can sell the gun .If you get the gun second hand quality gun you will be able to sell the gun for what you payed for it .My friend got a cfx gamo 177 and a cheap sight new the gun is ok ,but I got a second hand tx 200 with a quality sight for 30 quid less .I would get a quality gun because if you get a cheap gun you will want a better gun in time .So if you want a gun to shoot holes in cans get any cheap thing but if you want to shoot accurately ,shooting accurately is what shooting is about get a quality gun .most of us here on this sight have had cheap crap guns learn from our mistakes .get a good quality gun and you will save money and time . 1 Quote Link to post

random 659
it's good advice to go for a quality gun from a known brand, you'll get more for your money buying used,if you want a springer i personally like the weirauch hw97k and air arms tx200,but there are many other good ones by different manufacturers as i'm sure will be pointed out,and if it's a pcp then again weirauch and air arms are good along with bsa, daystate, falcon etc, depends on your preferences really but you should get good advice from knowledgeable people on here, once you have a short list of which you like and are available to you ask again for more in depth explanations of pro's and con's of the guns you've narrowed it down to,we've all been there.... also having a look over a gun and getting a feel for it and a few shots on a range may help you, just because it looks the part doesn't mean it will feel so... Tx200hc <3 0
I'd go for an Air Arms tx200.....very well priced (£350-£380) for what (for many) is the absolute pinnacle of spring rifle performance (out of the box) I preferred my last .22 Tx to a daystate airwolf that i used to own and i'm sure my brand new .177 will be just the same thrill to carry....Some tuners say theres no need to tune these rifles and that is a massive statement when you look at how much the hw fanboys shell out on tuning! If thats seems a little on the expensive side then as others have pointed out, it will definateley save you from buying twice! Quote Link to post
