zx10mike 137
wow i have allways slated springers for there accuracy i had a 77k once and it was ok but not a patch on pcp i have owned since.in honesty how would a fully tuned 97k compare accuracy wise to a hw 100? getting a pellet to stay on the scope was very impressive,i could not do that even without firing with my nerves . Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
watch vermin hunters tv mate! with the proper technique a springer can be shot every bit as accurate. I shot my hw98 better at 50 yards on Saturday better than I have ever shot my hw100 at 45 yards. Quote Link to post
KurtH 74
Just a quick visit yesterday to catch up with a old friend. After reading the things I have been doing about a very good friend of mine (Tony Wall) over the past week or so I decided to take a trip up there to see him. Tony doesn't go on forums or the internet much so I thought it only right for him to address some of the comments. Lets give the man the chance to tell it as it really is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GApfyZMLoY8 Brilliant vid Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
I've seen some of the crap that's been posted about Tony's work. I've never met the man and I've not had the pleasure of shooting with one of his guns but I have fitted a few of his kits to some of my mate's rifles and they've always been spot on. You can't 'tune' a springer by filling it full of grease ( as some have said), that's just bollox. I'm no expert but I've got a vague idea about what's what and I respect the opinions of the lads who sing his praises. Some folks just don't seem to know when to wind their necks in and call it quits. 2 Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
Made enquiries and got the price of a stage 2 tune on the 77, first thing is the bluing, that will be redone by RichardH in Northampton, whom I have only heard good things about, then when the bluing is done, off for a major fettle... 1 Quote Link to post

PJWmids 35
I bought a hw99s back in feb, being from the west mids I asked if tony tuned them, his response was he doesn't tune them, as they still are a little "fierce" even when tuned. I spoke to steve pope, he wasnt interested and was put onto someone else. In the end I got welsh willy tuning kit, stripped it cleaned and polished, fitted the kit, and sorted the grouching issue myself with some delrin inserted in the cocking arm. And it shoots lovely. quiet and accurate. I've got a weihrauch silencer fitted, but my only gripe is with this fitted the barrel is very long, In an ideal world I world prefer the barrel shortening. which is basically how this colaborated rife is designed. All achieved with a hw99s which I was told basically wasnt worth tuning lol. Quote Link to post
porkycrook 466
It is the normal reaction of small minded jealous people to knock people who are doing well. So instead of improving their own standard or ability they find it easier to knock the ones that are doing it right. So keep on doing what you are doing and how you are doing it, your customers know how good your work is and will defend you and your business. 3 Quote Link to post
