Gaz 177 263
Nice post and piks Skot The 98 truly is a cracking rifle and like risingfriend, I am just bedding mine in too Now me and bro have got a small dilemma as in do we use them in the up and coming Southern Hunters HFT series? Would be interesting to see how we get on, compared to last year (our first) when we used our pcp,s Decisions, decisions Lol... Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
Its easier to get a good score with a pcp! go with the 98's mate!! then when you do well you will feel a better sense of achievement. if I was into hft id use the 98 over a pcp anyday! 1 Quote Link to post

magnummike 39
I really do love how that rifle looks. It just looks the business. It looks hardcore lol. I think its the very thick barrel that makes it look so mean! Wonder what difference is between stage 1 and stage 2 then? Hi Dan the difference between a stage 1 and a 2 is the spring guide is screwed in to the trigger mech biock on the s2 so cannot move . This cannot be done on the 98 so the 98 ,95's are all stage 1's the 77's 97's etc with the solid screw out block can be s2 tuned . Ive got a s2 77 and an s1 98 both great rifles nowt between the 2 Quote Link to post

I know this is slightly off the original topic of the OP, but saves me raising a new post just for this. I'm not sure whether to go for a stage 1 or stage 2 tune (and having just watched zini's new video there is now mention of a stage 3 as well ). There is quite a difference in price between S1 and S2 and all I'm really wanting is to get rid of the twang and some of the recoil, and hopefully make it a bit easier to cock. Quote Link to post

Just watched Zini's vid to Dan and Tony say's they use more Delrin in the S3 , think they used a stainless spring guide on the S2 so would guess that they now use a fixed Delrin guide for the S3 , but thats just my thoughts on it I may be completly wrong Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
Stage 1 sounds good enough for your needs DangerousDan Of the hw97's i have had a few shots with i couldnt tell the difference between the stage one and two. If i had more time with them i might see the difference but even just the stage one will transform your rifle 1 Quote Link to post
