Yawn

ask him for advice

Me & my cousin came close to near death last Saturday night from cows the b*****ds best place for them is on a plate not field atb cbx

dairy cattle and beasts are a whole world apart knowing the difference might just save your life, after witnessing some being killed one morning it makes you rethink your own position on cows thats for sure.

Definitely wankest thread of the year

You're not wrong Paulus. It's very funny the next morning but I've heard too many stories of these feckers flipping out and trampling folk.

There aren't many things I'm scared of, but a beast capable of killing you is on my list

There have been a few nasty incidents...

In all seriousness, I would never take my dog into a field with any cattle, unless I was damn sure I could make it out quickly, have had enough reactions when they are on the other side of the fence to know what would have happened if I was in the field. :icon_eek: Its definitely the dogs, you can see the cattle eyeing them up, they start following, some have even started bucking and once a whole heard started a mini stampead towards me. I got out the area quick and that was with a fence in the way...................that fence just didn't look that strong when tons of muscle are running towards you

this one happened 10 yards in front of me. she did nothing to startle or upset them i had been in this field with the same cows hundreds of times without any problems. indeed once i had herded then away and up the field they settled back to normal http://www.thefreelibrary.com/CRUSHED+TO+DEATH+BY+A+COW%3B+Widow+attacked+as+she+walks+dog.-a0133239537

is it no just your luck walked across roads hundreds of times then one day you get hit with a car :hmm:

we all have to make choices everyday i base my choices on what i have seen, i have been knocked over by a car and spent months in hospital but it was my fault. a cow attack would also be my fault if i got complacent

It's nothing to do with growing a pair.

I have walked through cattle countless times. Only last weekend I was in a field with a herd of probably 50, including 20 odd young.

I'm just careful. If they can be avoided then I will avoid them.

If they can't be avoided then I stay close to the fence or hedge.

Common sence really lads.

Think I read somewhere that surprisingly dairy cattle are worse than beef cattle,,, and the old English shorthorn are the worst,,, not sure if my facts are correct,, but for some reason it's in my head they are.... Anybody else know if this is true
