.WARREN. 288
Mostly I use the bulldog rabbiter,,,3 rd one along in the pic,, but I like the little army one at the end,, it's great for sandy soil you can get right in the hole with it,, the long trenching type has a steel shaft,, and can smash through stuff... Buts it rare for me to use the others now,, il have that big one lol Quote Link to post
Country Joe 1,411
The bulldog is not the lightest, nor the heaviest, it can be carried about with you in a days ferreting no bother. had mine 35 years and never needed to do a thing with it, and its seen a lot of work. Quote Link to post
Fat-Ferret 857
I have one of those "Norfolk Graft" affairs....It is an interesting tool...The full length of the van! Quote Link to post
foresterj 1,096
Bulldog rabbiting spade,23 years and going strong, t-handle getting a bit wobbly now though having said that, where did I put that receipt. . . odd occasions doing dunes in the past I left it behind in favour of a wide mouth one. It's good if you are under a hedge rather than having a long handle getting caught up in the hedge. Quote Link to post
telf 15
i got one of those folding army spades it broke must be a cheap one ,am going to see if i can weld it so it doesnt fold anymore. Quote Link to post
Sirius 1,391
I would bin the army folder, as I am sure you will in the end anyhow. The bulldog rabbiter is good, or I have a water board 'teaspoon' which is my favourite, light, strong and not too big. Quote Link to post
