jim. 28
Hi all, I am thinking of going ferreting for the first time with my first lurcher pup (recipe for disaster possibly haha) But I am after some advice. He is 5 months old and I just aimed to get him out used to being around the nets and ferrets and such. He is spot on with the ferrets in the garden and has picked up 2 mixi rabbits so I'm hoping a little outing ferreting will do him some good also. Anyone think this is too young or any other good pointers? Help is much appreciated ATB Jim Quote Link to post

Country Joe 1,411
i take mine out late September, he was 6 months let him see the ferrets working hearing the sounds from bellow ground, and watching the rabbits hitting the nets, with a bit of luck they will start marking. the photo above he had just turned 7 months, on his last two outings he has marked occupied burys I have ferreted. coming on good. Rabbiting dogs dont learn in a kennel, best of luck with your tyke. Quote Link to post

I have an old thread with some puppy photos but no recent ones of him. All the best with your dog mate, Jim Quote Link to post
