DenBell 149
Can't comment on your current rifle but I do have a stoeger x20s .22 that i sometimes use for hunting and it does the job, it's a decent budget rifle but like Bigmac said it does kick. A lot. in my opinion stretch the budget and get an ultra or similar. 1 Quote Link to post

andyfr1968 772
A Stoeger-Smk- Hatsan-whatever would only be a step sideways from what you already have. If what you've got is doing the business for you then get used to it and keep it. Budget guns are pretty crap, to be honest but they do have their uses especially after a bit of TLC. You can't really polish a turd but you can roll it in glitter. There's loads of after-market kits available but what's the point? If you're on a budget then look at something used. Pretty much anything German or Air Arms from a few years ago will be a shed load better than some brand new bargain basement shonker. If you buy right, the worst you'll have to fork out for is a service kit above the purchase cost. 1 Quote Link to post
slave 33
I would stick with the Slavia a lot of people like these in .22 it should run at 11.5ftlbs the piston has delrin bearings and a barrel latch they are built bt Czech giant Cz strip and relube as they can be over lubed when assembled http://www.vzduchovka.cz/dokumentace/Slavia634_rozkres.gif Edited October 18, 2013 by slave 1 Quote Link to post
emilianoksa 11
I expect the Slavia is a better built gun than a Stoeger. According to some reviewers, it's a very underrated rifle with lots of potential. The Czechs know how to make guns. 1 Quote Link to post
slave 33
Try Jsb or AA feild pellets in it Cz barrels normaly shoot very well with these Quote Link to post
