I'd have followed him out of the shop and then offered him half price on everything he'd got

Grassings grassing. If their security isn't up to the job then no wonder their getting robbed.

Its just not in some peoples nature to tell tales whether its pinching sweets or something more serious........a few years ago i saw a young lad walking round a diy shop pinching a few odd bits.......

Its just not in some peoples nature to tell tales whether its pinching sweets or something more serious........a few years ago i saw a young lad walking round a diy shop pinching a few odd bits.......i followed him to the door as i had a bad feeling he,d get collared.......the store detectives started man handling him as he was giving them a bit of lip........i told them to leave him alone and paid the tenner whatever it was for him they said no you cant do that i said dont tell me who i can and cant buy things for...........they stood there ready to burst into tears :D ...

Thinking that was my good deed for the day we got outside i said to the kid if your gonna keep this up you best improve your technique.......................then he pulled 3 cordless drills out of his coat and said " i do alright mate but cheers anyway " ....cheeky little f****r !

worked 5 yrs in donny as shop security ib hmv, boots etc catching 100s of lifters but as far as i was concerned off duty and seeing people lifting stuff,i looked away and let them get on with it.

Same here, mate! Worked security for Next, Virgin and Boots - when I wasn't being paid, none of my business !

I bet a lot of folk regularly buy "cheap stuff" down the pub. So it would be hypocritical to stop a shop lifter. Where do they think it comes from?

I'm always getting offered cheap stuff from bottles of branded spirits for a fiver to brand new mountain bikes for a £100. Obviously never buy any of them. That would be naughty

Sounds like a decent bozzer for a pint :laugh: ,order up the kids xmas stuff now ,

Reality is Everyone in life likes to get a bargain .

OK I've seen this said many times before and several people have "liked this", so I understand, grassing is grassing and is unforgiveable not matter what.

So if somone stole one of your dogs and I saw who did it I shouldn't tell you as that's grassing...right?

If saw somone nicking a packet of bacon I wouldn't even raise an eyebrow but to me there are limits, for example if I saw some scroat punch and mug an old lady and run off before anyone could catch him you can bet the Police would be getting a description from me. If that's wrong we'll f*ck it I don't want to be right.
