paulus 26
ensure it catches then it won't hunt up Quote Link to post
Derek1962 50
More than likely the guy who owned this dog gave him a free rein when out lamping,so problems like that are hard to break, maybe a shock collar, chances are it will either kill or cure, had a lurcher years ago, done the same thing, first run was a nightmare,if he missed the bunny,he would run the whole field and the next one and the next one right into the next county, different dog in the daytime,i used a shock collar on him at night,it cured the problem till he run into a 5 bar gate and broke his neck. stripes 401
Are you chasing any quarry in the daytime danny with the dog, sounds to me that he is keen to hunt when he sees the quarry mostly at night, has he had any rabbits in his mouth yet, the more he sees and the more he chases with a positive strike should improve him with time. Does he come back with a catch straight away or does he run off with it? Quote Link to post
