WILF 47,342
From what ive been reading online, the Tubby Isaacs stalls closed down in June after something like 90 years? Is this true? Id love to try them. The one at Aldgate is gone, its a paki kebab stall now!!.........funny episode years ago, was there with a pal of mine who was born and bred in an essex village but he was cracking on to the blokes behind the counter in his best "mockney" accent "Ow is ol Tubby, aint seen him for years" blah blah ...........the bloke looks at him cool as you like and says "He has been dead 30 years mate" ........ So now my pal is trying to recover a bit of credability and says "Oh, Oh........err......not him the other bloke.....err" So the man on the stall says "What.....old Charlie with the beard" My pal thinks he has got a lifeline and says "Yeah, yeah thats him, old Charlie" The man on the stall waits just long enough and says "Yeah, he has been dead 10 years too" Gold, absolute gold.........I was crying my f*****g eyes out Edited October 21, 2013 by WILF
