Hi chaps just after a bit of advice from anyone who's carried out such a thing

I'm about to apply for a 8 shot semi auto shotgun but I'm unsure how to word it on the form in the gun type box do I say section 1 shotgun?semi auto ?hight capacity magazine shotgun ? it might sound like a stupid question but I don't want any mistakes or confusion

Cheers add

12 bore Section one self loading Shotgun

As form 101 is used to apply for Section 1 firearms it is a little pointless and unnecessary to write section one 12 bore, as is detailing self loading when the form clearly states action type is not required.

All one needs to apply for is a 12 bore shotgun.

You put high capacity shotgun and you also state whether a pump or a semi auto. Your ticket will say semi or pump.

You are obviously not familiar with the application form 101.

Neither Action type or magazine capacity is required and for this reason there is no place on the form to supply such information.

All that is required is the caliber and type eg. Rifle, muzzle-loading pistol, etc.

It is only on purchase that the action type is recorded on ones FAC.

I'm very familiar with form 101. As I own a PS club, I think it's safe to assume that I've helped with more applications for S1 shotguns than most. If you look at the form, in section B19, it asks which firearms you wish to purchase and gives you a couple of examples, the second being "Muzzle Loading Pistol". If what you are saying is correct then surely you'd just put down "Pistol"

How many Section 1 shotguns do you own?
