Huan72 687
Quick show of hands. You're on holiday, in Europe. How many of you would leave your three children, aged 3 and under, in your apartment, alone, while you go to dinner with your friends? We're not talking for a few minutes. We're not talking in the next room. We're not talking playing the garden. We're saying while you go out to a restaurant with your friends. Your gonna love this one: I had the social worker and police round once, my son had tried to intimidate one of the teachers at school, they called me and told me that they weren't happy about it so when he came home I grabbed him by his coat and said it is not nice to be intimidated, don't do it again.............................he told the school and they sent the social and police around to investigate my parenting. These people have made it possible in the most selfish way, for someone to take one of their own children and no action is taken.............................................un believable!!!!!!!! I genuinely felt played by the school, my son and the system, I obviously don't have enough in the bank and am of the wrong social class!!
gnasher16 30,062
Now would I leave my children alone in a room in a foreign country so I could have a meal with friends down the road....... NO CHANCE Would you leave your child alone at the front of your gaff playing with friends ?.......Plenty do......and when them kids get snatched, raped and killed we all want to hold the parents hands and give them a big sloppy kiss !!..............Whats the difference......oh thats right the Mcanns had money theres no excuse for that.
albert64 1,882
come on gnash nobody's saying their perfect parents, but who on here would leave their kids in their apartment while they went on the piss No fair enough.........the hunting community obviously breeds a far superior class of parent to everybody who was around the Mcanns table that night...............im sure on a holiday " piss up " amongst hunters the kids would be sat on mummy and daddys knee until 7.30 before going back to the apartment for a bedtime story........Wish id been into hunting when my kids were young i could of taken some invaluable lessons off some of these lads. have you left your kids all under 3 while you went on the ale ? its not about being the perfect parent , f*ck me you only have to open a paper or turn the telly on and there's another case of kids being abused or have gone missing and that's in your own country its about loving ,caring and protecting our children its just that some people different views on whats acceptable
ChrisJones 7,975
No..... But that's my choice as it was the McCanns choice. Agreed, and they'll live that day for the rest of their lives. How could it have been prevented? It is easy to point the finger, think of how with one little quirk of fate, how things could be very different with every incident. I can agree with that TC, but this was a conscious decision by two parents. The scrutiny, it's put them under, is valid IMHO. How many parents leave their children unattended while on holiday, without incident? We only hear of one appalling tragedy, and how do some respond? By blaming the victims ! Agreed but how preventable was this horrible tragedy? Are we not entitled to an opinion on parental neglect? No fair enough.........the hunting community obviously breeds a far superior class of parent to everybody who was around the Mcanns table that night...............im sure on a holiday " piss up " amongst hunters the kids would be sat on mummy and daddys knee until 7.30 before going back to the apartment for a bedtime story........Wish id been into hunting when my kids were young i could of taken some invaluable lessons off some of these lads. Same question, Gnash. In this case, these specific set of circumstances, would you leave your toddlers alone while you went for a meal?

NEWKID 27,132
God forbid anything happens to one of your kids and the majority disagree with your parental judgement and brandish you unfit parents and as I have read tonight elsewhere "they should burn in hell"...... But who cares I'm a mere c**t!!! f**k off!!!! do you sympathise with the Mc Canns ? 1/ they are two professional people who are both doctors 2/ both will have made comments in their professional capacities about child welfare 3/these type of people who WE pay to make decsisions and comments for our welfare broken all the rules 4/ I have no feeling at all for them but only for the little girl who is missing 5/ Mrs McCann in my eyes is a hartless cow who only regrets the attention the media has brought to her because of her shortfall I feel sorry for them, they f****d up and it cost them.... Just because I would never leave my kids alone in a room in Portugal doesn't mean I haven't made other mistakes which could haunt you..... I sat my little lad on some steps on the side of a pool on a holiday in Cornwall, he was around 2 and my girl was around 8 I said watch Daddy swim under the water and count how long, I swim off under the water, but get a bad feeling I come up and my lad has tried to follow... he's under the water, I swim back and drag him out and he's fine... I had bad dreams about that for months after, I made a mistake... I put him in danger because I didn't think for a second.... Yes They f****d up massively, you cant defend an error of judgement like that, but they have to live with that everyday, it would destroy you.....

riohog 5,701
the mcanns should stand in a court of law on a charge of gross negligence , for leaving 3 children unattended they are guily of that . they admitted it .....
albert64 1,882
lab would you leave your kids in another country while you went on the piss mate I don't think so Again no...... And what's this 'going on the piss'. Way I saw it was they were a stones throw away and checked every 30 mins with friends checking there children in the rooms next door. There choice! your right their choice ,and drinking how many bottles of wine etc constitutes going on the piss and checking on them every half hour well she didn't check too carefully because their saying she was took earlier than they first though they don't think they've done anything wrong ffs it must haunt them the not knowing but no way in this world would you leave 3 kids under 3yrs old alone absolutely anything could happen

Not at 3 I wouldn't mate..... I couldn't sit out and feel comfortable knowing the kids are back in the room at such young ages, I'm no perfect parent by a long way but I couldn't do that mate. Like I've said though, they've paid the ultimate price and I'm sure there are hundreds of worse parents than them.... whether they are rich or poor doesn't matter a toss in my eyes
