gnasher16 30,062
Just been discussing this with a mate. Dog marks bed, clothes, "behind sofa", car. Now unless this friend at the dinner table who checked on Maddie at 9.30 was lying and he never saw her in the bed can someone draw up a possible chain of events on how all these places were identified as having a dead body? I'll try first........Gerry goes in to check on Maddie at 9 and realises she is dead with drug overdose( calpol seemingly.)....Now he has a decision to make. Does he go outside and raise the alarm like any normal parent or does he conjure up some story himself and fake an abduction? So what he has to do now is go back to the dinner table, act normal while telling Kate that Maddie is dead. She has to act normal too for the next 30 mins. At 9.30 a friend decides he will check on Maddie. Knowing she is dead both Gerry and Kate decide that they will take a chance on him not checking in depth and will get away with it. At 10 Kate has to go back to the apartment and she has to stage the abduction. How does she do this.... Of course... Hide Maddie down the back of the couch because no way will there friends or the police that's on there way will look there. Then after the police have gone they wait till the next day, hire a car and sneak Maddies body out into the boot and dispose of it somehow? Anyone got any better ideas on how it went down? Come on Lab use your brains.....the first thing you do when you want a corpse removed on holiday is flick through the free ads paper under the column " dead body removal ".....................we all know that.......ok its in a foreign language which makes things diffficult,so you just find a local who speaks the lingo to read the ad and do the negotiating for you. Outlaw Pete 2,224
someone sid in the other thread. he hired the car the day after? and it was a dead fish and rubbish the dog smelt, well for one i can see why maybe he would hire a car, to look for his kid. She said herself, at the end of that interview that was posted on here yesterday; For the first Forty Eight Hours she simply did f**k all about trying to find the child. Probably too concerned with making sure no f**ker went near that sofa!

Outlaw Pete 2,224
Dog said there'd been a body there. In the case of a so called 'Abduction', the last thing the gavvers would be doing is saying; " Move ye arse, love. Let's have a look behind the furniture. " That aside, I rather like your own summary of the likely, true events. I don't think that's too wide of the mark. Goes to show; You can come up with some sensible stuff, if ye put ye mind to it. rob190364 2,594
Gnash do you not think with there wealth they should have paid to have they're children in the night crèche... Or maybe clubbed in with they're friends and had both sets of children baby sat by an approved Nannie service?? After all what's the point in being wealthy and successful if you can't use your wealth to look out for your family's best interests... Not often I see a post of yours I don't agree with but I think your way off the mark here. They are a pair of tight, snobby c**ts who knew better.... No question about it i couldnt agree more mate they definately should of done that ............I say again,im not defending the monumental f**k up they made....im defending the right to make a monumental f**k up without getting hung as a punishment . I was reading something the other day that got me thinking.......The Home Office records state that an average of 400 children are abducted on British streets every year.......so is that 400 sets of parents who deserve hanging ?.....Your kid doesnt get abducted if your on the ball right ?........These perfect parents who would have us believe they never take their eyes off their kid ......should the little Bulger kids mother hang for allowing a 2 year old to be marched from a shopping centre in broad daylight ?.....April Jones ? and many others ?..............How about the many kids who dont happen to get abducted and killed even though the parents took their eye off the ball at some stage...............or is it just the Mccanns blood we all want because they were wealthy doctors ! They intentionally went out for a night out leaving the kids, all under three on their own!!!! I can't believe that you don't see that as being serious neglect! It's nothing like your older child being snatched off the street, or from a shopping centre. It simply isn't just taking your eye off the ball, not by any stretch of the imagination! It's abandoning your little kids for your own selfish wants.....the VAST majority of parents would not do that, they might slip up on the odd occassion, but not just totally neglect/abandon their own (very young) kids like that. And re. your last statement, people are baying for their blood because they're so arrogant that not only did they do it in the first place....and put themselves above the welfare of their own kids, they're still refusing to accept that they're to blame....that's why, it's got nothing to do with the fact they're doctors.

If I saw a family of any era, or any occupation neglect there kids in the way they did I would be disgusted, even if the end result wasn't a kidnap and no harm was done. I can only speak for myself but being a parent makes you protective almost to the point of paranoia.....I wouldn't dream of putting my child at risk the way they did, the very fact they could relax knowing their children were unguarded speaks volumes about them as people IMO. No offence pal, but reading your take on the whole thing on this thread smacks of someone who isn't a parent. If you are one day I think you'd probably have a very different outlook on what happened and how they behaved.

The one 8,472
I personally think they are both guilty of little maddys death ,im pretty good at judging guilt is in their eyes . I believe they drugged them to sleep that night and gave Madeleine too much , when they found her they hid her body im positive they will find her body burried and tests will show it was drug relatedVery risky letting there friend go and check a dead bairn wouldn't you say? If there friends saw her laying on the bed that would of been enough they would of been happy and left So you think they would take that chance and not just check themselves?? If they did over sedate her and put the body to bed then go to the tapas bar to give them more time and make everything seem normal . a friend checking would just see the body in the bed and leave there no going to check for a pulse
