Even if evidence was found and they were charged, with all the media and public interest that this case has attracted would it ever be possible for a fair trial to be conducted either here or over in portugal :hmm:

A matter of choice?......we are talking about kids not a pair of f***ing shoes! Every parent in the world sometimes wishes they could just go off and do whatever they feel like without having to thin

Fair enough reply but I'm sorry matey, a mistake is when you put petrol instead of diesel in your motor, it's cutting your finger with a bread knife or forgetting to put the kids dinner money in their

I don't know how far legally no and I don't care, look at the hunting laws and its plain to see the lawmakers ain't got our best interest and common sense in mind when passing there shitty laws. I hav

They intentionally went out for a night out leaving the kids, all under three on their own!!!! I can't believe that you don't see that as being serious neglect! It's nothing like your older child being snatched off the street, or from a shopping centre. It simply isn't just taking your eye off the ball, not by any stretch of the imagination! It's abandoning your little kids for your own selfish wants.....the VAST majority of parents would not do that, they might slip up on the odd occassion, but not just totally neglect/abandon their own (very young) kids like that.

And re. your last statement, people are baying for their blood because they're so arrogant that not only did they do it in the first place....and put themselves above the welfare of their own kids, they're still refusing to accept that they're to blame....that's why, it's got nothing to do with the fact they're doctors.

Going round in circles here........ive not said they didnt neglect the kid......im saying people neglect their kids every day just 99% of the time theres no harm done and no attention drawn to it.

As regards " they,re still refusing to accept they,re to blame "..............they are not to blame.....the person who took the kid is to blame..................If i open the front door and the dog runs out....a car hits it......its stone dead............am i to blame for the dogs death ?.......Yes they are to blame for their poor decision making who else could be........would a written apology to the nation take away their arrogance.

I'd say you'd have been careless and negligent, both of which I've never heard that pair of admit to , in fact I've never heard either of them accept any responsibility of any kind whatsoever. Not once have I heard, if only we hadn't left her/gone for a meal whatever. That pair are in total denial and this pish it's someone else to blame is just that, pish.

On another note, I notice the majority of folks defending them and lambasting those that don't come out with these outlandish comparisons, you know, like your own, a dog running out an open door. It wasn't and isn't comparible, they left a three year old and two younger children alone to go out for their own selfish ends, that alone in my book is worthy of criminal charges.

How any sane person can know this, look at whole big picture and even remotely defend this pair defies belief.

Well that's it solved then. A heart surgeon and doctor were struggling with paying the mortgage so they got there child abducted so they can reap the rewards.

Dare I say it.......SHITE!!!!

This is after the fact you fud lol...What we are saying is that the funds to find Maddie were used innaproprietly . Nowt do with abduction coz they were skint lol

Yes I read it thanks very much. Who cares if they paid 2 payments....maybe they will pay it back. I'm guessing not working has made a great big dent in there finances. Did any of you send money?

If I did and they wanted to use it to pay there mortgage so they could continue looking for Maddie I wouldn't have a problem with that.

This is just another way of slating them!

Only 13% of the McCanns’ Find Madeleine Fund has been spent on searching for Madeleine. It has mainly been used for legal battles.

If you find time to Lab, have a look at some of the archived police reports etc, its very interesting to say the least..............on another note its Madeleine not Maddie, this was a name made up by the media.....................http://www.mccannfiles.com/id169.html

Mostly libelous shite like most of this thread...............?

So in your example you open your door and let a dog onto the road....and you don't think it's your fault that it gets run over....FFS, what's your real name? Gnasher McCann? It's a similar but far less serious example, you're responsible for the dog and responsible for making sure it doesn't run into traffic!

They're to blame for putting not carrying out the very basic responsibilities of being a parent...ie. protecting your child or even being in the same f'ckin building when they're sleeping. You don't have to be super nanny to see that going out and leaving your babies unattended is absolutely outrageous.

I can only speak for myself but being a parent makes you protective almost to the point of paranoia.....I wouldn't dream of putting my child at risk the way they did, the very fact they could relax knowing their children were unguarded speaks volumes about them as people IMO.

No offence pal, but reading your take on the whole thing on this thread smacks of someone who isn't a parent. If you are one day I think you'd probably have a very different outlook on what happened and how they behaved.

Rob you sound like a great parent..........but not everyone is..........its ludicrous to think that every human being who produces a child is of equal quality as a parent the laws of nature just dont work like that..........we like to think that bang as soon as your a parent you automatically become a quality parent its just unrealistic to think like that..........does it make you evil ? scum ?.....should you be punished for not being a great parent ?......................Not everyone can be good at all of the things all of the time.

I was a crap parent but i think i,ll be a cracking grand parent...........it more than likely works the other way as well some good parents probably make crap grand parents........life dont come with an instruction manual mate.

You're right, because I don't go out on the piss and leave my child at home I'm the perfect parent. There's not being great at something, and then there's absolutely not giving a shit about your own offspring, two very different things.

Ok mate. A parent that goes out at 8 and comes in at 2 now that's neglect. A parent that goes and sits a short distance away and checks every 30 mins I'm not sure can be classed as 'neglect'. Because of the outcome we can class it as a mistake. If Madeline was still here it would be a normal family holiday.

Let me ask you do you check on your child every half an hour in the house? I've read all about noises falling out the bed or so forth but what happens if they choke, or strangle themselves on the curtain and you can't hear anything ? If you went in and you saw your dead child how would you feel if the next day the finger was pointed at you and your parental skills. Would you stick up for yourself? Should you be hanged, shot or rot in hell?

i couldnt disagree with you more lab.

a short distance away, and who ssys the checked every half hour, if there irresposible enough in this day and age to leave wee kids alone in an apartment complex with god knows who prowling around,or checked in to same place.then i certainly wouldnt believe in the time frame they suggested they checked on there sleeping kids.more interested in sitting at bar knocking them back,we all know we lose track of time when drinking.

tbh mate i think you think what they did is common practise amongst folk on holiday.this thread and from what i have seen its very much not.

Lab they were BABIES mate, not kids.. Even chimps and gorillas don't leave their young unattended at all while they're at the equivalent stage of development as those 3 kids were, and we're supposed to be more advanced than they are..At that age children are 100% totally dependent on their parents.. Stop buying into the shite that glowing rectangular box keeps telling you and think about it for a minute, please!:thumbs:

Exactly mate, the same thing that most normal people do when they go on a family holiday.. If you want peace from the kids while you're away, leave them at home with a relative..

I think I'm going to have to leave it there then. All I can say is I hope know one makes a parenting mistake that others think is unacceptable.

Next topic!!!!

If I made the same 'mistake' as they did I wouldn't expect anything less than the reaction from other parents on this thread, I'd think I thoroughly deserved it..
