A matter of choice?......we are talking about kids not a pair of f***ing shoes! Every parent in the world sometimes wishes they could just go off and do whatever they feel like without having to thin

Fair enough reply but I'm sorry matey, a mistake is when you put petrol instead of diesel in your motor, it's cutting your finger with a bread knife or forgetting to put the kids dinner money in their

I don't know how far legally no and I don't care, look at the hunting laws and its plain to see the lawmakers ain't got our best interest and common sense in mind when passing there shitty laws. I hav

There is not a parent born that has not made mistakes looking after children. I am grandfather who is charged with looking after his grandchildren now and again. Today I took my eye of the youngest for about 10 seconds and she tried to climb into her dolls pram and fell on the floor. Luckily she was not hurt, pride dented a bit but not hurt. Yet with my own children I have ended up in casualty on more than a few occasions. I am not saying what they did was right, all I am trying to say is 'let ye who is without sin cast the first stone'.

We have all done it to some degree, I do not think that there are many parent who have not had the casualty wait at some point in a childs life. Just be honest with yourself could with a little extra care, that trip have been prevented? 'There for the grace of god go I' springs to mind, where if things had take a different path then the outcome could have been totally different.

We are all different, what is acceptable to one, is totally unacceptable to another person, but untill you stand in their shoes then and now, you will never know how they feel. The remorse and guilt may well be racking through their bodies, but untill we are put in that situation we will never know.

my take on it, why the f*ck would you not have the kids with you

its a family holiday, if this were a young couple off an estate they would be torn to pieces by the press

but no they are professional people who are probably high up in their field

all the brains in the world but not a f*cking ounce of common sense

its the worst thing any parent could go through...............but so easily preventable

I'm still waiting to hear why they asked for the dogs to come in then discredited their findings when it wasn't what they wanted to hear??? Kate McCann - "we're not the ones that have done something wrong here"....pull the other one, Kate!!!

I've said it before i'll say it again - gotten away with murder....!

TC what you mentioned what happened with your grand daughter is what happens to decent parents and grandparents like yourself. it falls into the shite happens category and is not premeditated to hurt your kids or grand kids.

What the McCann parents did was wrong, premeditated and went against natural parenting instinct. It was a purely selfish act that had serious consequences if it went wrong which it did.

They will pay for it for the rest of there lives for not putting their children first.

They'll get no sympathy from me but I hope their daughter is found alive and well.

I actually find it quite incredulous that anyone can defend parents who leave three children under three years old alone in an apartment anywhere never mind an unknown environment like a foreign country.

Watched the pair of them, we don't let the guilt eat at us, we've done nothing wrong,we didn't commit this crime, not a fecking tear, no remorse, any sane parent would be racked with guilt, life over, not this pair.

the resteraunt was only 50 meters away and they felt comfotable leaving the kids 50 meters away .i notice in life sometimes really nice people (church going types)never for one min can comprahend such evel lurks.we come from different walks in life and they felt at home doing it.i was working on a tree job once when i stopped to see someones one/2 year old walking down the middle of a road.these things happen.how many of you reading this have not locked all the house doors yet.sadly if you plan to steal a kid you probably could at some point.the shutters were down windows were closed etc.

all this said i'm not a parent so what do i know.

i think they have paid the ultimate price and calling them c***s is harsh

What an honour to be in the company of such perfectly fantastic parents............even if it is just the internet.

I think what most people are putting across is that you don't leave your kids alone like they did.

Quick show of hands.

You're on holiday, in Europe.

How many of you would leave your three children, aged 3 and under, in your apartment, alone, while you go to dinner with your friends?

We're not talking for a few minutes.

We're not talking in the next room.

We're not talking playing the garden.

We're saying while you go out to a restaurant with your friends.

I ain't perfect, far from it but neither am I negligent to the kids in my care, they are my world. Yes they will end up in a and e at some point that's granted, but they will never lay in bed o a night crying for me whilst I'm not there or there mother ain't there. Then for your child to ask you where you where and to do the same that night. What is it they say, to know better and still do it is stupidity? Kids will be kids and do there up most to get there sells in a pickle, we all know that so our jobs as parents is to watch over them and make sure they are okay? I didn't realise you had to be perfect to have an opinion or feeling about a subject, as surely if that's so I must be in the online company of world champ boxers, best keepers in the world an the best at everything else.....
