My pup banter is 22 in around same age,if she finishes 25 or 26 I be happy,seen plenty of bitches in big land and small doing it at 23 and 24,seen plenty of big dogs to not worth a shite and I mean a shite lol

lol you never miss an opportunity to turn the knife in poor speedie. il just have to set my sights a bit higher on this one lol

26-27in most get there height by 10 months old, unless big dogs like Danes or deerhounds then up to 14 months old.!

26 to 32 inches are great for that open countryside,but in the paddocks we hunt here in Ireland you need something small and sharp and can find top gear very quickly,so anything from 16 to 25 would be ideal for me,but everyone to their own,i knew a guy that lived in Nt Dublin,he always kept big lurchers and i mean big,they were great in open land where they could course with ease but in small land they were useless,and a smaller lurcher would make a show of these giants,when i mets this guy at a few shoes and i remarked on how big they were he always answered,;did i ever see a big horse that couldnt eat grass;and i always replyed.....i never seen a horse picking up grass not in full gallop..
