not keen on some of the interview and photo shopped books that are around but each to there own..

Terrier wise..most are shite More scope if you like running dog books?

You've probably read everything that's worth reading anyway mate, there isn't much out there that isn't just digging stories.

Fell terriers by Plummer is very interesting, one of the worst is Eddie Chapmens book, full of tall stories....

I laughed when I read that post.

Truth is, Plummer was the one for tall tails, Eddie Chapman actually knows what he was talking about. A lot of Chapmans book is actually about getting your hands dirty and how to handle quarry etc. etc.

Something a lot of authors couldn't comment on because they never done it.

You're right about Plummer, I'm not regarding him as a great terrier man, but the content in Fell Terriers about other terrier men is informative, as for Chapmen, I read the book over twenty years ago as teenager & it struck me as a lot of bull, maybe I'd think differently now......but I doubt it lol

ahh bugger,you would be better off reading the 5th from right.................

but the fell terrier is good, as is harcombes the working terrier
