More to do with saving money in the LNG term than foreseeing any Arrmageddon scenario... If Wilf can eat the corned beef hash without any sauces, then he is already a real man! Most of these people probably stock up for hard times. Loss of work, maybe. We used to have thousands of these preppers, in Britain. They lived through a war.
