Which Way To Gut

Recommended Posts

lol doesn't matter if its big or small knive fuckers will still do you for it I no a few who has been done for having a knive under 3 inches and have been done for it

If you're walking through Limerick-Cork City-Dublin or the like you'd probably be prosecuted but if your out legally ferreting or lamping hunting or even camping or hiking it's unlikely as you have a legal use for a knife.

I use a small blunt ended gutting blade for gutting but out in the countryside I nearly always carry a no 12 opinel, which can chop brambles, cut bread and cheese and do a lot else besides.A non locking blade under three inches is legal to carry but would be useless for a lot of things. Imagine trying to lay a hedge with it.

scissors do same job or would they be classed as a double barrel

Wait till I get home

Trim a bit of the belly fur off with a sharp knife exposes the skin, then make a slight cut then with two fingers pull and open it up.
