Maximus Ferret 2,063
lol doesn't matter if its big or small knive fuckers will still do you for it I no a few who has been done for having a knive under 3 inches and have been done for it If you're walking through Limerick-Cork City-Dublin or the like you'd probably be prosecuted but if your out legally ferreting or lamping hunting or even camping or hiking it's unlikely as you have a legal use for a knife. I use a small blunt ended gutting blade for gutting but out in the countryside I nearly always carry a no 12 opinel, which can chop brambles, cut bread and cheese and do a lot else besides.A non locking blade under three inches is legal to carry but would be useless for a lot of things. Imagine trying to lay a hedge with it. Quote Link to post
No eye deer 22
Handy if you have forgot your knife Quote Link to post
run*the*hound 1
not as easy as it looks to squeeze the guts out, and half the time you pop the shite all over Quote Link to post

Country Joe 1,411
Trim a bit of the belly fur off with a sharp knife exposes the skin, then make a slight cut then with two fingers pull and open it up. 2 Quote Link to post

Giro 2,648
I have tried and failed many times to do that squeezing method. Never leave the house with out a knife - leave it in the van.. Quote Link to post

TOMO 27,190
Here's. another little theory of mine,,, I find early season rabbits,, or perhaps there just younger,, I find the stomach sack far more fragile early in the season,, even being carfull with your hands/ fingers,, they burst very easy,,, yet later on there far stronger,,, I'm not on about puncture it with a knife,, just pulling out with your hands Quote Link to post
