Temperament... diffrents male/female

How they work over ferrets

Is it true that they are just plain nuts

Ive had female harris for around 8 years the one now for 5 years I got plenty of land with woodland, with pheasants squirrels..any info on keeping reds would be great..

I have to disagree in part. If you slip a female Red Tail at a rabbit by the time it gets going the rabbit may have escaped. However a male at about 2lb 2oz is perfect. They will go through a brick wall to get it.

Had both male and female. Still got original female and have to say females are faster, stronger (bigger).

Gos hawks are amazing to watch hunt but to much for me to be honest constant worry of tail feathers breaking and so demanding they are hard work and I dont like boxing them up through molt falconers who have finish gos hawks are in a diffrent league.

Not in an additional burst they are not. A rabbit bolting say to about 25 yards the smaller male is quicker and then after that the female would catch it quicker. Considering a rabbit usually is in cover by then a male is mutch better It's simple physics!

As for the mews in the moult it's horses for courses with advantages and disadvantages to both but i don't think either is the 'Wrong' way :)
