The whole situation is just unbelievable.....,how can the police make such a huge balls up of something that could have been resolved so easily !! due to there incompetence you've all been treated like common criminals and they certainly ruined what could have been a fantastic week.., I hope you get a good legal team behind you & teach them a lesson they'll never forget......Atb

Catching rabbits for money and having to work every warren no matter how difficult under pressure is completely different to having a chilled out holiday when I can pick and chose what warren and when

Surely if you are a professional pest controller, you can claim loss of earnings: the rabbits: if they are incinerated.

Fukc me what is your problem ? You are one jealous guy jim ... You hate the fact that guys catch more rabbits than you so you have little digs on their posts a try and discredit them ... FFS I catch m

thats a bad do socks. i know for many of us if we have a narrow scrape with the law then it is such a relief to not get charged that we tend to leave it at that, but i really hope you pursue it. push every possible angle you can (wrongful arrest, loss of earnings, anything you can think of), letter to chief constable, police complaints comission, the lot. i guess you probably dont want your name splashed across the papers, but if you dont mind then i would be on the phone to the press agency, might get a bit of coverage to embarass the plod.

good luck with whatever you do.

I agree totally with these 2 posts

Get onto Scottish Tourism Board and complain about how the police reacted to your party doing nothing illegal at all

Spot on there.

Out of interest (for me and the press etc) what happened to the dead rabbits ? Did the Police handle the dead animals humanely ? were they disposed of ? Where ? were they kept in a chill ?

Lots of wee angles to get at !!

Good luck

The lads were wrongly arrested, there break ruined & there lives temporarily disrupted....., its quite shocking considering that the real crime was committed by those who supposedly uphold the law,....educated idiots..

I hope that with the might of a good legal team behind them everyone involved gets the outcome they deserve...

The dumb feck responsible for this farce should be given his marching orders after apologising to everyone involved & then to the the tax payers who's money he's just squandered..., holding men, cars , rabbits, courts, travel, compensation, wages, legal fees,paperwork,.....ffs

The tossers would be liked a little more if they invested that much time , effort & expense catching real criminals.......

I politely told them that the rabbits were their problem seeing as they illegally took them off us and I was hardly going to drive up to Scotland for a pile of rotting rabbits ..........
