It's The Time Of Year Where We're Told...

Recommended Posts

...to drop our trousers and take it in the ass as the energy companies raise their prices.. First cold snap forecast and my electricity supplier has whacked 8% on the cost of my electricity.. Coincidence? I don't think so.. They bleat on about their costs increasing, why do they do it ahead of a cold weather forecast then? It's because they know everyone will be turning the heating on, that's why.

...then you've got f***ing Cameron saying he 'understands' the hardship it will cause everyone. No he f***ing don't.. Along with this 'we're all in this together' bollocks. You don't go to the doctor with a serious illness and have the doctor saying 'we've got cancer mate, there's going to be a long hard road for us both ahead..' If the prick said he sympathised it wouldn't be so bad, something like 'sorry guys and girls, the country's sick and you have to take the medicine to get it better' people might have a bit more respect for him..

Most of us are having to feel the pinch, but those fuckers who have money invested in the energy market don't. They can't take a bit of a cut in their precious profits, they just pass it on to the rest of us.. Was listening to some minister on about new nuclear power stations earlier and all.. , Who's building them? EDF energy, 80% owned by the French state. So the French government will be paid to build nuclear power stations here in the UK and then get to sell even more energy here and reap the rewards. What's wrong with our government building them and selling the energy to us? At least the money would be going back into this country instead of pissing off across the channel and being handed out to the French public..

Bollocks ain't it. Thing is though if we had the shares would we be just willing to give away money? I don't believe in giving away money and won't ever catch me doing it.

Prehaps when c**ts getting sent inside for things such as mugging an old lady they aren't just give a cell with a playstation. Sentence them to a number of years and x amount of miles on a treadmill. Have it to sorted so the energy is used to give back to the old.

Think I'm going to get one of those smart meters at some point with a panel you can see. How many people can honestly say that they are councious of the amount of gas or electric they're using? When you buy petrol you have a fuel gage in the car that constantly makes you aware of how much fuel you use, but your meter is tucked away in some cupboard out of site. Units of electricity mean nothing to me, not like litres/gallons of petrol do.. :hmm: You know roughly how much a litre of petrol is all the time, but i havent got a clue how much i pay per unit of electricity.. Most folk I know just pay the bill when it comes with no questions asked, unless you're poor like me and have a token meter! I just put 15-20 on the key a week and think nothing of it. Maybe I should start taking a bit of interest from now on..

The problem is that over the last 50 years a higher and higher percentage of wealth has been going to a smaller and smaller percentage of the population and this very small percentage of the population tie the money up in property and off shore bank accounts etc and a smaller and smaller amount of money is trickling down the system into smaller businesses and peoples pockets to then be put back into the system via shopping and spending. What has been achieved is creating a very small number of super rich people that don't have to worry about money at all and a massive population that supports them with their labour. Lets be honest the people running energy companies and such like probably went to the same exclusive private schools that Cameron and his crew did. Its an old school tie club looking after each other at the expense of the majority and it always has been!!
