taffey 1,315
Rabbitcatcher1 you will not regret lining your collie x greyhound to rip he got all the right blood in him I talk from experience regarding this cross having had a whippet of mike sired by glen to 1 of his bitches that was worked very hard day and night tested as much as you could test these do or die merchants not 1 or 2 rabbits then line a bitch lamped hard daytime big ears roe deer per ban of course he had 5 hard years here with me not 1 run a season and never let me down was nt the fastest whippet in the world like a lot of mikes he was bigger and stronger than your racing bred models but what he lacked in speed he made up for in determination smashing into and through hedges etc to make the catch I lined my mates half x collie greyhound 4 yrs ago and people saying the pups ll make good little rabbit dogs let me tell ya they ll make a lot more than good little rabbit dogs my mate kept 2 bitches back and I ve watched them excell in more than catching rabbits lanesra off here seen them go as have some top dog men and all were impressed with them I got a saluki x whippet here same father as collie grey pups my whippet having some fun with him but the collie x bitches obviously more versatile to have anout ferreting bushing etc got a blue dog here similar way bred to your litter but dam to mine was 3/4 grey 1/8 th beardie1/8 th border with mb whippet as sire he coming well for age lamping / ferreting won't test him till next season due to his age but early signs he ll be a handy animal at 24 / 25 tts hopefully more than a little rabbit dog lol like cocker mentioned the grew would inject all you need in your running dog but finding a genuine F 1 hybrid seems a lot harder than the pure bred whippet on mike brown bred whippets was out for a run before on big lugs with lanesra and his mb bred dog Flynn at 6 years old still connecting with our ultimate athlete due to speed and determination I will finish by saying sorry for the long post don't post often but thought I would throw my opinion in to your topic having experienced the cross you were talking about I Speke to mike brown regular enough keeping him posted on dogs I ve sorted for people off him on there progress or sometimes LACK OFF ITT he don't hide the fact he wants his pups tested to the full the more you give them the more they want people may slag him on net that don't know him but there's more folk rate his stock than folk that don't they do as it says on the tin fill the game bag a good old saying A Pound of breeding s worth a ton of feeding and that's right we're his breeding concerned atb taffey 1 Quote Link to post
