scothunter 12,609
bit of tangent, but last few years i have noticed the return of class being brought into a lot of conversations. seems its us and them sort of thinking.but we all know the reason for that.greedy corrupt politicians.Christ there seems to be something every day that makes that class divide widen. wonder how much of a killing the super wealthy made of the selling of royal mail.and i wonder how many ordinary folk got the chance to buy shares. millions of tax payer cash pumped into it in the last few years, and the goverment are going to lend them more, and at the end of the day whoever owns it,the tax payer is still responsible for the royal mail pensions. unbelievable eh lol
arcticgun 4,548
I agree Scothunter class war maybe disappeared in the blair years in a blaze of political correctness to make the upper and middle classes feel a bit better about themselves, however if ya ask the poor and needy they never saw no change, howvwe the class war just another smoke screen invented to keep us at each others throats, we will never have an equal society as long as 5% of the population own 95% of the cash floating about, they will continue to load the dice in thier favour until they get complete control of all the pennies, maybe its just himan nature and the rest is just sald dressing lol Typical example is the Bankers whom f****d the countries finances, their chums in poltics changed the laws and allowed them to gamble money they did not own, hedge funds pensions tax payers hard earned on massive speculations in foriegn markets , now had all this gone well and paid handsome rewards I doubt that they would of informedthe public of just how clever they been and then shared the profits amongst us all, but their pals in power sure made sure we will all pay it back Edited October 12, 2013 by arcticgun
gnasher16 30,217
If people worried more about what THEY have or havent got....... and less about what OTHERS have and havent got.....we could throw the whole " class " war out the window !!

Malt 379
The class system and the strife between them has been at the route of a lot of this country's shite IMO.. Take the union battles we've had in this country, they've got unions in Germany but crucially no class system. Over there the unions only have to represent their fellow workers interests, not the interests of a whole section of society. They sit on the board and work with the management, not against them and look at their industries now.. Lets not forget the other side of the fence when you consider the conflicts that blighted our industry, the management. They were typically the same sort of person who walked into officer positions during WW1 just because of who they were, the backgrounds they came from, the school they went too, etc, not employed because of what they could do. When it went tits up, they just moved in another like for like person. The only qualification they needed was the right school tie.. Whether its talked about or not, class and classes will always run though our society and cause divides, and as others have said, it's not all about money..
