It could be loads of things mate. Without seeing the dog how could anyone give you true and honest advice ? it would be a stab in the dark at best . .............................There was one thing that could cover most bases but you'd need to be a sheep farmer to obtain it ;).

It could even be a condition that alot of greyhounds get were then just lose fur on the back of there legs . for the life of me I can't think of the name of it now, It's too early. someone on here will remember it .............. something syndrome

If your that unsure pop along to the vets.

I've rescued many dogs in the past with terrible coat problems. A good raw meat-based diet often sorts things out better than any shampoos, products, medicines. The skin/coat is usually a reflection on how healthy the dog is inside its body. I've sent you a pm.

Its Alopecia a form of baldness, can be brought on by stress, thats why alot of greyhounds get it, with the temps they have.It quite common in bullx as well most dogs with a smooth coat, or good lump of running dog in its mix. You need to go to the vet for med+tabs, food (wont) treat it, its(hormone) dont put it in the feckin sheep dip, its a dog not a sheep .!!

Bald thigh syndrome is common in greyhounds and related breeds, lots of research is carried out and it appears that, it is only rarely linked to things like a lack of bedding, poor diet, mange or worms. There is likely a genetic factor with perhaps an endocrine basis with links to stress such as racing/workings. Alas if only it was something fixed as easily as with adding raw meat it wouldn't be seem so commonly in racers who are often fed raw meat lol. Its not a sign of bad health rather it's the fittest greyhounds that are the one to show symptoms.

hi mate i had a bitch years ago that went bald just when she was coming into condition i trated her for fleas and mange and still bald took her to an old greyhound vet and he said it was due to the high protien in the dry mix i was giving her told me to drop it down to a cheap dog food with 17 or 18% and that did the trick so sky was sort of right when they said just feed raw meat bet your protien in your food is high atb pp
