Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I have a beautiful brindle whippet, who is half 'laguna whippet' (supposedly) other half a twist of saluki a good glug of whippet and a pinch of collie, she is an absolue beauty, fearless and a bit nutty(as all good whippets should be) , and I would really like to breed some nice whippet pups.

I tried to put pictures up but im afraid im computer illiterate, and don't know how to change the size of the photos, any help would be appreciated, Im located in Cornwall, give me a message if you have a good working dog whippet and your interested.

Thanks for looking

This is a piss take, but this subject comes up time and time again, Lads advertising their stock as laguna Whippets,

As been said Luguna is not a breed its a prefix of the late Mrs Dorrit Mckay,

Same as in Greyhound racing Westmead belongs to the Savvas,

If you bought a Whippet from mrs Mckay, you still could not call it Laguna whatever, without the owner of the prefix permission.

There's obviously a few on here that have replied who know a bit about whippets who could help him out. Educate don't berate.

I know a bit about whippets but it won't be any help.

What you have is a mongrel of a type known as lurchers and breeding it to a whippet means the puppies will be mongrels/ lurchers not whippets. I suggest you buy a whippet puppy if that's what you want as lurcher puppies can be difficult to find good homes for.

Ps for those who want something to throw blue whippets, I recon I could get one abut twenty yards if I got the right spin on it lol.
