It may be worth waiting to try find one from working parents though, they are out there..

one of the best dogs ive owned came off him as a 5 week old pup turned out a cracker but she did have a lot of work put in to her from the start. imo thats what its all about you can blame the breeder every time but sometimes you need to look closer to home .

big dogs take far longer to mature, far too many deerhound crosses are ruined/gave up on by inpatient owners, its funny how some lads always bring the best out of any dog they have regardless of generic ability and others go through dog after dog looking for something they are never going to find.
