If I was you mate ,id stay well away from vw transporter ,ive a 2005 2.5 tdi here ,only 90,000 miles on it and nothing but trouble with it this past two years ,rebuild it .

,ive also the Renault traffic 2.5 tdi 150bhp ,good solid bomb proof engine ,only thing ever needs replaced is front bearings ,track rod ends and drop arms ,cheap to buy

for the traffic compared to the transporter ,was looking online earlier as some pre reg traffics ,some great deals on crew cabs averaging about 13 to 14 g if you can

jump the Vat . Good luck with whatever you choose .

Go for the transit and get bull bars on it for your ram raiding

You get a van folk you dont know wil be knocking at your door can you move this couch ,washing machine and looking at you to be lifting it down the stairs etc

advice on the caravan mate, get a decent damp meter from ebay (about£50) could save you alot of £ and hastle, dont just try smell the damp or feel for damp/soft parts

I`ve got the Renault master lwb high top on an 09 ---I love it ,its like driving a car I lad I knows just bought the smaller version and he`s the same I had to have a recon gearbox at 134k but mine was ex hire once that was sorted its been trouble free ...

T4 2.5 TDI all day ive got a syncro 4x4 it piss over alot of cars does 30 MPG and is OKish off road but aint no landy

Its a T5 model ,I believe they done away with T4 in 2003 ,and everybody knows they were a better van .
