Billy No Mates Lamping

Had to go on my own last night,, as vin was wining and dining her indoors,,,but he was up for ferreting today,,, so I lamped last night,, then stayed up there,, and we both had a mornings ferreting.

 

Had a late start last night,,almost 1 am,, befor I got started,,a good breeze,, not a gale or owt,,but just enough,,,the fist field we had 8 out in no time at all,,, good start , and I didn't know it at the time,,, but it was how things were going to continue,,, rabbit after rabbit,,up and down the beam,, by the time I had got to the fields at the back of the farm,, I had around 30.

 

So after dropping the rabbits off I continued up the fields,, and again rabbit after rabbit,, were being added to the carrying straps ,, by the time a got back down to the road,, Venus had cought 49 rabbits,,,, so obviously 1 more would do to round the night off,, so in to a gateway ,,,,gitton, lass,, and she's up the beam ,, and soon bring back number 50,,

 

Now I had a dilemma ,, there's a good long field on the other side of the road,,, and I thought for a Minuit weather to bother,,, but in the end I just had to do it,,, by the time I got to the other end of this field,, I had 6 more,,, so of course I had to round it off to 60,, lol,,, so a few more fields and 5 more were in the bag,, at this point I turned round and headed for the car,,, and my sleeping bag,,, it was 5.30 am,, and vin was due at 7 for ferreting. The total count was actually 63,, however I had chucked 2 skinny horrible mixys,, so there's 61 in the pic

 

Hopefully vin will ad a few pics,,and a few words about the ferreting,,
