Fell And Moorland Wtc

Was at a meeting the other night and having a conversation with the rep about the amount of members some of the areas have and it seems some clubs don't have many at all. I was shocked that so many lads have terriers but clubs like this still have low numbers. I don't see why any genuine dog lads wouldn't pay a tenner a year to protect there dogs when working?

So, how many lads on here are members of other similar working terrier clubs and is there a reason why lads don't join?

As I've not owned a terrier for over 12 years now RF, I wonder what has happened to the FMWTC. In my youth it was a 'must join' club, everyone did... Then I did hear of some 'in-fighting and 'unsuitable' reps, did that do damage...?? :hmm:

If I owned a working terrier, no, if I owned a terrier, with the potential to 'drop in', then I wouldn't hesitate to join both the FMWTC and the NWTF, its a no-brainer to me..!!

Never mind members, can't even get in touch with a rep in north Yorkshire. I paid a few years ago an tried to renew it the following year and year after, ended up giving up in end. Don't even keep terrorists anymore but was willing to support club an help out if needed...

have to say that the rep for south wales and the rescue lads are top notch and do a sterling job with little or no funds  goes to prove that theres lots of men with terriers and not so many terrier men anymore :cray: it pays to be a member of a club and have the experience-cause you never know when you may need it  atb

35 years ago there was literally 100's of lads members of the Mid Lancs and West Yorkshire branches.

Its only the last year or so that there has been a rep within 150 miles of me (Cornwall) :icon_eek: Big up Kernow Ollie off of this site for standing up and taking the job on (Devon and Cornwall Rep).

Any one who works their tykes and does'nt stump up a tenner a year is a feckin' messer or tightwad IMO :icon_redface:

Cheers, D.
