as wilf said i stood at those meetings and rallies aswell,and i consider myself then,and now to be pretty clued up on what i believed/believe in.and the ones i went to listen to,were all over the f*****g place with thier views. maybe some of the ignorant ones bought into it. i certainly didnt,

 

 

 

I did all that carry on as well.............while i dont consider myself particularly " clued up " on politics.......as regards foreigners/race etc i feel as true to my beliefs today as i did back then..............do you Scothunter or not ?.... ......I know some people lose much of that passion and nationalist ideals we have when we,re young.......so its not a trick question im just curious

 

While i wouldnt advocate running round the streets fighting with them and some of the stuff c18 and the likes got up to years ago their commitment couldnt be faulted when you compare it to this soppy EDL mob standing about singing songs swigging beer behind police barricades !!

 

 

I like to think you get a bit more sophisticated with what you believe as you get older, you realise that not everything is always black and white (no pun intended).......theres always shades of grey

 

And you also sort of get pissed off with being pissed off all the time..........I now believe its better to preserve my heritage by acting like an Englishman and bringing my family up that way with respect for others, acting like a civilised human beings..........It certainly beats the days of shoving dog shit through letterboxes and wrecking Indian resturuants

 

You realise that c**ts come in all shapes, sizes and colours.

 

Treat people how you want to be treated and if they don't reciprocate...........then do the other thing

 

If I cant understand someones accent now days, I don't get wound up I just say "Sorry, I don't understand you I only speak English"......I say it polite as you like

Understood mate, but when you have been there, done it and know the score (or at least think you know because I am not saying I am right) then theres nothing wrong with saying "have another look son your wasting your time with this one"

 

I remember when one of our dustmen asked my old mum for a drink of water (a black fella), the foreman on the truck (they used to have a crew of about 6 in them days as I sure you remember) called him for all the c**ts under the sun for being so cheeky !!..........my mum felt terrible and asked them to leave off him and got him his water.

 

Now, what side of the English character do you think that bloke will remember with fondness?......I reckon I know.

 

I also know the other tribal side, the times when I have had half a dozen pull up in a motor at Elephant & Castle at 3 in the morning looking to do me harm but half a paving slab and letting them know that the first out the car will be off to the morgue makes them see sense.......but you cant live your life like that all the time, it wares you out.

 

I wasn't being hard on the kid, we have been there, but I am also proud to be English.......I am not a german and I don't want to be.

I watched "The Battle Of Britain" yesterday with my 6 year old boy.....told him all about it ........James Fox bailing out, landing in a garden and being handed a fag with a "Damn good show"..........now that's what being English is all about

I find it amazing that everyone needs to begin their comment with "I'm not racist BUT..." It's only a word - Like all the other "ist" words that don't really mean anything. They are only labels, not a state of mind.

 

I might have agreed with some of Robinsons ideals, but unfortunately he was never going to get far because his followers were mostly idiots who probably didn't even know what they were marching or scuffling for, but more importantly he wasn't leader material. Whatever your views, a leader must stick with his ideals to the very end, not lead you halfway then jump ship when the going gets a bit tough. (Think Churchill.)

 

You can bet your boots these radical clerics won't just give up. They will go on and on and on.
