Guest hunterpoppy
I think rwb41959's price was very low after looking around at what others go for he could have made a lot more, but I feel the same I would rather my dogs went to a caring home than to someone who wasn't that bothered and just to get a pocket full of money. If Suki was a much higher price I would have never been able to afford her. I love my Saluki to bits and would always have one now so I thank Robert for giving me the chance to own this wonderful breed. Hayley Quote Link to post

Guest SJM
Are there many pure salukis competing in agility, obedience, flyball and working trials then? Im asking because you mentioned registering them on the KC activity register, I never thought of salukis as being a breed people used for these activities? Quote Link to post

Meerihunter 7
I sold mine for £150 as they were an accidental litter, had to sift through a whole heap on unsuitables before I found people I was happy to home a pup to. I paid £400-£500 for my KC Reg bitch Ameerah It cost me nearly as much in fuel to collect my unregistered male Tariq from near london. Here they are with the pup I kept from the litter. The pups I bred; Farouq, the one I kept. I know of one very well bred Saudi X Kurdish pup available from europe for anyone seriously interested. Quote Link to post

Yes salukis can be trained for competing in these activities and yes some people do this, i personally dont but others do. People buy dogs for all reasons and i registered them on the activity register to give people extra options if they wish to compete in these activities. It is entirely upto them what they do with there dogs. Salukis often take part in dog shows where these events take place. Quote Link to post
