stabba 10,745
Well no one has came out and said it, but I personally think there is much more to the story than were all led to believe. In fact I think something tragic happened and they covered it up themselves The kids were sedated, did they give Madeline an overdose? Did she have a bad reaction to it? Also there was her blood in the boot of their hire car. The reason for that never came out And they at one point, when the spotlight was on them agreed to do a lie detector test then refused last minute, hardly the actions of an innocent couple. I doubt whether the truth will come out, there has been so much swept under the carpet. Just my opinion. I said it way back blood in the hire car, mother washed all of maddie's stuff the week after, lots of "i'm not obliged to answer that" answers when questioned by police and the lie detector test refusal...they are who the police need to be speaking to If that's true about the blood then what are you saying. They must have the police in there back pocket do they? Or do the police just see blood, then forget about it? Bollocks. If there was blood I'm sure all that evidence has been dealt with and it's not an avenue the police want to re-check. Why did she was her clothes? Maybe because she was in a state of shock and was trying to pretend she will be found in the next few days..... Plausible???? "I'm not obliged to answer that" seems to me they have been told by police what not to comment on incase they give any clues/evidence away to the potential kidnappers. Yes, no, maybe?????? more like she was overwhelmed with guilt for leaving the kids alone , and coiuldnt think of a plaousable excuse for that apart from "oh yeah we were on the piss at the time" More like told by their brief not to say anything...their youngster gets abducted yet they feel the need to get a brief straight on the case?? very strange i reckon. How many times has it been seen on tv that the parents in turmoil turn out to be the perpatrators...that guy who burned his house down with the kids in it...that wierdo from west yorkshire who said her bairn had been snatched yet she was keeping her under the bed...that wierdo who's just got 15 years for starving her bairn to death and keeping the body for 2 years..the list is endless...i'd like to think it's a genuine case of abduction but deep down i reckon there's foul play by the parents..hope i'm wrong i truly do.

I wouldn't leave my kids alone while I was away drinking mate.. Lets make no bones about this, they were at a tapas bar so they were drinking. No difference between them doing that and a parent on a council estate popping to a mates flat a few doors down and having a drink or a smoke once they kids have gone to sleep. If this had happened here on a council estate in the UK, the press would have all over them with the old 'broken Britian' bollocks and they would be vilified. They were/are bad fecking parents, no two ways about it. The quote directly from her I posted earlier proves it. Imagine this had happened to some dirty haired estate rat, and she was quoted saying that her kids had woken up crying the night before when she was at the neighbours on the white cider? She'd get crucified just for leaving them that once, let alone doing the same thing the next night with the knowledge her kids were getting distressed in her absence.. Lab 10,979
What relevance does them having a drink make? Thousands upon thousands of couple do it on a regular basis at the weekend, during the week even. The only mistake they made was to leave there children unattended. Although I'm sure they thought they were perfectly safe in a locked apartment. Good point you make Stabba about these fannies that try and hide the truth... But the outcome of those were they were caught out because eventually they slipped up....the McCanns have not and it's been on a far grander scale which again makes me believe they are not involved. scothunter 12,609
lol@lab prob mate as for the drink, i dont agree with that either, but it happens on a reg basis up and down the country. technically your under the influence, and if your babysitter turned up three sheets to the wind to watch your kids, you would send them off packing, but parents seem to think they are exempt from this rule./ "some parents"
walshie 2,804
gonna ask my maw later if i was ever left alone lol she will get the sharp end of my tongue if she did hahah Your Mum probably used to leave you outside the shops in your pram and when she came out someone had nicked the pram but left you. Which explains a lot.

Maybe I'm old fashioned mate but I don't believe in getting pissed round your kids.. It's actually against the law in the UK to be intoxicated while you have a child under 6 in tow.. Nothing wrong with having a few drinks, but to leave your kids asleep and go on the piss with your mates is a c**ts trick IMO..

Not for one minute do I believe 2 middle class parents were pissed up at a Tapas bar with there kids in the apartment. Probably had a couple of glasses of wine with dinner or something similar.
