Hw97Kt .22 What More Do You Need ???

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

I went for a shoot at the newly opened Springview Ranges on Saturday where you can try your gun out to 120yrds. I normally take all my springers , but on this occasion I just took my two 97s. Both guns are superbly accurate but on this occasion it was my .22 synthetic that shone brightest. After hitting drawing pins at 40 yrds with ease , I decided to push it out to 60m (65yrds ) . Once I'd worked out my mil dots, I managed a 10 shot group of about 25mm with 8 of the shots all touching in a tight cluster. This was using H&N FTT and the gun runs at 11.4 FT/lb.

PCP accuracy from a bog standard springer. Nice

Also I'd like to mention that Springview is well worth a visit. With vast selection of targets of varying difficulty set out to 120yrds where hangs a bell , which has caused many a shooter to waste a lot of lead trying to get it to ring.

Cheers

Nice post Jasglo68. And very true to say 'what more do you need?'!!

I have an HW77 and HW80 both in .22 and an HW97K and a TX200HC in .177 flavour that are single hole accurate to whatever ranges I can steady them at. I need no more for accuracy than these guns provide and I am never stuck for something to go shoot and confidently hunt with or enjoy an extreme-range target session with my good mate AndyFR1968 here.

The HW97K is one beautiful underlever spring rifle that, in either .22 or .177 calibre, will match any PCP for accuracy performance;- without a hose or a bottle in sight!

All the best for your shooting with yours mate.

Simon
