Pros/cons Of This?....

Recommended Posts

Been attaching my bands like this for a while and not had a problem....

Initially i used it to shorten the bands quickly in the field... but realised it adds more 'meat' to the elastic near the attachment end.... a bit more secure from it slipping through maybe?....

And incase of rubbing on the leading edge of the wood... the used bands are cushioned by the left over elastic...

Just my view... but anybody see any pros and cons with this method?.. ...

Not really,

I tried that attachment method you told me about with the antler catty and surgical tubing aswell, its alot more securer with the tubes, cheers

Biggest thing ive found with cattys... is theres no right..or wrong...

If it works... ...

I tried the paracord inner strands to tie the pouches on... and its still not snapped yet... its not waxed or anything....

Ive ditched the paracord tabs, they were inconsistent as shit lol, just gone back to the direct ott attachment and elastic grooves, i will put a pic up tommorow, although the only bit of paracord innerstrand you can see is the knot as i wrapped it over with theraband ties just to make sure, but they help massively as when the tubes were tied direct with theraband they were slipping further up with every shot, paracord strand and constriction know solved it straight away

joerge sparve has recently been experimenting with increased band life by using ttf slingshots with leather on the front to cushion and protect bands on rebound so you may be onto something

Maybe :hmm: ....

Im sure theres others doing it this way is there not?
