precious 6
Hi all, Anyone tried these yet, thinking of getting some 30g 5's for the later season birds (as I have been told that the 30g 6's have been recalled). Also wondering how they compare to the pure gold or rc sipe. Thanks Dave
Jimy1971 13
I've used the 12g Black Gold 30g 6's and I think they're a great cartridge. Some killing power in them. Edited October 6, 2013 by Jimy1971
richc12 84
black gold 20 bore are 34g shells.... haven't used them yet...... I shoot rc sipes 28g 5s very fast load, heavy on recoil in my miroku mk6o game gun.... a bit to heavy on recoil lol................ ive managed clean kills out to 50 yards with them....... they say the Gordon system in the black gold absorbs some of the recoil but id be interested to hear just how much..... sussex 5,777
I loaded for a gun this week that was using them , they seemed to do the job very well .His wife who was also shooting had tried them but found them a bit savage in her 20 b berretta & stuck with 28gr 6 . paulus 26
Might just be me but what's the point of using heavy loads in a 20 might as well have stuck to a 12g
sussex 5,777
They do punch a bit , I do a fair bit of loading & lots of people use lightweight guns & heavy loads cant really see the point other than the gun is a bit lighter & more manageable especially for woman . Luto 0
The Gordon system in the black gold reduces recoil by 15% according to gamebore
lksopener 105
Might just be me but what's the point of using heavy loads in a 20 might as well have stuck to a 12g Lighter to carry all day. Prefer the 12 mind.
ColinF 2
The Gordon cases are only used in the 12g loads, not the 20g's
Luto 0
20 bore is the best cal in my eyes I have a 20 with a set of 12 bore barrels and I always use my 20 because it's better
