Hunting Boots (Warm)

Hi guys,

 

I'm looking for a change in boots for the winter, i normally roam about my permission in wellies but last winter I suffered a lot with the cold weather injuries from my feet due to my time In the forces, and they get very cold quickly... And numb. I'm looking at some hunting boots that are really nicely insulated, if possible the height of wellies due to the crops and long grass on my permission, I have had a look around but nothing really bites my bullet so to speak. Wondering if anyone has any suggestion...

i have a pair of laksens good for walking in and fully water proof and warm and not to heavy either but not quite the height of wellies .you could put a pair of over trousers on.

The problem with over trousers is they make a hell of a lot of noise so I'm trying to compromise

My merrell boots are 200 gram insulated with a lining.

Have a look at the Muck Boot Tay Sport. Had these for 2 winters are excellent for keeping feed nice and warm and are also good for walking in.

I have had a look are torray oak muck boots, but what do try feel like on the inside? Just a normal welly boot, these say neoprene insulation? Are they comfortable and warm?

Neoprene lined are warm, had my wellies on standing on the coursing field all day and never felt the cold.

Dunlop purofort, very warm wellies, with mega tread on them.. last you for years, have a look on ebay

Iv worn safety wellies before and they have been very heavy with the toe cap and nail proof foot bed. Not the best things for walking the fields but ideal in the farm yards
