Moorside 642
Ay up lads, been reading a bit about these recently from what ive read theyve got better bone coat jaw and stamina than our native greyhounds plus a guarding instict so I assume theyd be a challenge to steal. With all this in mind does anyone have any first hand experience of them. Atb Moorside Quote Link to post

Moorside 642
I dont imagine folk over there keep hunting dogs that are shit, which really makes me want to know more. Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
It's one if those things where folk don't look to certain parts o the world and those parts of the world are pretty closed etc. for a pure sight hound I was real impressed with what I saw of them on hares and fox an the odd deer. Never saw them lamped. Just daytime coursing etc. I guess they are like greys were when they were hunting dogs. The 'big' land out there is incredible! Quote Link to post
Banter 1,751
would they be any differant than a galgo Quote Link to post
Moorside 642
I would guess that being behind the "iron curtain" for 50 years wouldnt help with western European knowledge of the breed. Quote Link to post

BOLIO1 1,078
Yes my pal Sean's partner is a Hungarian doctor and she's been telling me all about these dogs. Like the Galgos, they seem to represent the type of greyhound that existed before track racing, when hare hunting was the main job. Her family still live over there and if I was younger and still into that game I'd bring one in and introduce some saluki lurcher to it for sure. Edited October 4, 2013 by BOLIO1 Quote Link to post
