stabba 10,745
If you are breeding and selling and not keeping one or two back for yourself then its painfully obvious that you bred for the cash. Now a man with the dogs welfare and his morals intact would probably gift the majority to close hunting friends/aquaintances. The surplus would then be sold at a fair price to recoup costs of rearing/stud fees etc etc..Selling a litter of 10 @ £250 apiece is obviously all about the money imo. But to answer the question..a working mans price to me would £100 £150 .
RossM 8,119
If and when I breed a litter, I will be keeping a bitch back the rest will be gifted to friends and those that have been good to me, the rest would have £100 price tags, regardless if they dogs or bitches it's a dog ffs and IMO it's morally wrong to add onto a bitch, BUT the buyer will have to sell himself to me with regards to the pups welfare and discount will be applied to those who are willing to travel and who will give them the most work keep in touch etc.
sussex 5,777
Was working in a house yesterday (Friday) the people had just got a cross cocker / poodle ...i cant use the stupid name they give these dogs ....£750 they parted with !!!! you cant wonder people breed dogs for money .There must be a never ending supply of gullible , wealthy people ......i on the other hand have just been given a lab pup out of top working strain just because the man wants them to go to working homes ......both ends of the dog breeding world ..

dare 1,103
Mate asked me to find her a french bulldog. Bloody shocking the prices. Made me laugh that now if they didnt get the blue pups they desired. The cheeky money hungry c**ts write blue gene carrier lol. It's almost if noone buys these dogs just to be a pet. Why even mention its a blue gene carrier as if you know what's being brought is going to be bred.

nans pat 2,575
if theres a litter bred in the company we hunt in everybody chips in for the price of the jegs then there give out FREE. whoever owns the bitch always gets first option if for some reason somebody has to get rid.
Big bald beautiful 1,231
If the breeder has a website then you can on them being more expensive. I went to Hancock, £250 a pup, first cross elsewhere probably £150. Same when I had Plummers, had more dogs gifted then I bought but look on there breeders websites, and read up and then ask for the price of a pup if your NOT a known friend. Same with whippets, anything with a pedigree to it.
