If it’s broken below the gum, at the base it will likely need to come out and likely some of the bone as well depending on what’s happened. Shouldn't take a decent vet long and a couple of dissolving stitches later and the dog should make a good recovery. I have an oldster at home who had on out last week, now galloping round like a pup. Use meloxicam, sold as metacam for veterinary use. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meloxicam vet will supply.
