bobcullen79 1,495
Nice Kay. What editing suite do you use? Ive just bought a Nikon d3100 and the editing programme that comes with is poop. (viewnx 2) I don't think it even has a black and white option.

(viewnx 2) I don't think it even has a black and white option. if you download the picasa link that Paul posted , theres a good little b&w conversion on there, this is what I do when using picasa to convert select your pic, then click filtered b&w move your pointer over the colour grid , you will notice that your pic changes with each colour you scroll over.... reds work best on pics with lots of fluffy white clouds, they stand out the result from using a red filter the result using the green filter you will notice the subtle difference , but its worth playing with all the colours, untill you get a result you like ... then just click save ... its easy to use & excellent if you want a very quick b&w conversion
Mickey Finn 3,034
some scenes really suit black and white, great pics It seems as though old structures, and other derelict man made items do come off well in black and white. Kay has done an excellent job of capturing these. ATB
