Accip74 7,112
I've worked a bunch of lurcher's, one thing I can't remember doing is getting a tape measure out and measuring the dog to the shoulder! Lol They just did what they did, rabbit, hare or fox, all good.....sound line a bunch of falconers with their weights......1lb 6oz or 1lb 13oz.....lol Quote Link to post
relic2 19
what about 3/4 whippet collie do you think they will differ much in size cheers relic2 Instead of constantly putting up threads asking how something will turn out and what this cross will make etc etc. Why don't you tell us exactly what you want from a dog. Size, ground, tasks and let the lads make you a few suggestions? mooching on farmland & woods cheers relic2 Quote Link to post
Hot Meat 3,109
Don't get too hung up on what size a dog will end up pal, get a dog you fancy an get it out, couple of inch either side of what you ideally want won't be end of world.. 1 Quote Link to post

bullx100% 681
A little bit more info would be better lol.say for instance if you do a lot of ferreting and daytime mooching in wood land and around hedgerows then a beddy wippit grey or a coli wippet grey would be fine. Quote Link to post

Spot on. Just what I was about to say. Get something you fancy. Out of parents you like and that are doing the job. Don't restrict yourself with something small (3/4 whippet 1/4 collie) if you think you might want or need something bigger in 12 months. 1 Quote Link to post
