risingfriend 1,042
I have been trustingly asked to home a hw95 in .22 from a work mate who is a native aussie who is about to go home for around 12 months, having had the rifle a few days i had a plink and found the rifle had a bit of a twang but was grouping rather well. so thought i would put it through its paces today so set a target paper at 27yards and zeroed the rifle and after a little adjustment was pellet on pellet so thought i would push the range out in 30 35 40 and 45yards and i am amazed at the accuracy of this rifle all shots were taken prone on a bag after finding my aim points i thought i would do 5- 5 shot groups and here are the results. the rifle is out of the box untuned a bit twangy and fairly light for me anyhow.............if he thinks he getting it back i may have moved by then LOL, And Gaz177 you can whistle if you think you gonna shoot it LOL OH and now im thinking about a .22 replacement when he asks for it back and i loves me .177s 5 Quote Link to post

Elliott 436
Wow, some fantastic groups at range there. It just goes to show that rifles don't always have to be tuned to get the best out of them. I'm sure a little fettle would cure the twang. Andy on here will, I'm sure, have a good idea All the best with it. Oh and if it wad mine he wouldn't be getting it back! 1 Quote Link to post

Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
Fu**ing hell Aaron cracking shooting mate! that's some tight groups, my 95k was just the same, very accurate and very twangy lol. but a fettle and relube sorted most of the twang out. also it was a lot quieter than my hw97kt. I just couldn't get on with how light it was, I like a heavy gun as has been said, the hw rifles are still blisteringly accurate straight out of the box. 1 Quote Link to post
