Outlaw Pete 2,224
You swines! You're all just rubbing my face in it! " Look at the lovely little blue birds we've all got, Pete! And what have you got? F**k all! " This is so unfair. I'm grinding my way through every possible idea I can come up with here. So far? I can't even find anyone who used to know someone who might have said his mates grandad once mentioned hearing of a bloke who says he used to have a f**king budgie! Time was, I could hop on my push bike and, five minutes later, own a blue, cock canary. Now? It's a seemingly insurmountable problem. Total head wreck.

gnasher16 30,299
Speaking of which.....whether the one in my pictures is a Blue Fife im still none the wiser .....but the bird centre i got him from a few weeks back had another 3 or 4 exactly the same.......id be happy to go and get one for you Pete and send one of the lads to somewhere reasonably close to the ferry.....you,ve given me some good advice in the past so not going to cost you anything other than your ferry ride ..................personally id rather get on a broken aeroplane than get on a ferry so dont blame if you if not !
Outlaw Pete 2,224
Thanks, lads. I really do appreciate the sentiments. But, the fact is, I'm really just screaming at the wall here. Venting a frustration. See; I can't drive. Don't know how to. Period. So, even popping into the local 'town' costs me €20.00 round trip. Dublin or Belfast? I believe we'd be talking €100's ..... Taxi fares. Never mind the ferry ..... See? Right there. We shake our heads. Wring our hands and turn away, recognising the absurdity of the true situation It's a bitch. But, I don't recognise the concept of giving up. There's a way. I just need to find it. Thanks, lads

Outlaw Pete 2,224
There does seem to be a lot of high level interest in birds, both here and up north. That's very encouraging ~ even if it is horrible to see the restrictions placed on the poor sods in the north! Trouble is, Ireland a not inconsiderable land mass. And there genuinely just doesn't appear to be a bird man within counties of me. I think it's more of a city thing, perhaps? I mean, farmers have more to worry about than keeping f**king birds I'm hearing about some deadly serious bird men here. Only, the buggers tend to turn up as being in places like Wexford, Waterford and Cork. Hundreds of miles away. Never mind. I have had the sniff of an offer of a quad breeder cage! That guy knows my situation and still mentioned the cage. Maybe that'll be a lead? I'll f**king get there!

stevemac 442
gnasher its definitely Blue confirmed by white feathers in tail. weather its a fife depends on size and shape but looks like one in the picks. I keep fife canaries and have kept boarders and red factors.
