walshie 2,804
How do you switch off the service light on a Vauxhall Combo 1.7 diesel? I've serviced it with new oil, oil filter, diesel filter and air filter, but the yellow service light still comes on now and again. (The yellow symbol of car with a spanner.) Black tape over it will be the next option. Cheers.

Gaj1612 99
The light that you mentioned is like an engine management light. It comes on when things like egr valves, glow plugs, and other things like that throw a code up. Mine used to come on after driving for 5 minutes turned out to be glow plugs. The service light will show up as "INSP" when you turn on the ignition and to reset it, you just hold the button down on the clock and switch on the ignition till it started flashing and then release it and press it again. That's if it is the same as mine. Hope that helps
